A. I highly recommend buying a dazzle capture card , its more practical. I bourght my dazzle capture card from this very friendly seller on eBay which is currently selling everything you need such as the Dazzle DVC 100 ,AV cable and splitters for very cheap, he also gives out great advice on how and where to get started. i Bourght mine off him last week and it was delivered very next day ! A. Well, unless you are going to change the the official version of Windows 7 soon, it won't matter really. But, since I haven't tested that application yet, I am unsure. Even though Microsoft claims all Vista apps will work on 7.

how do you rate the dazzle video creator - platinum edition?
Q. I want to transfer Hi-8 video from my camcorder using the s-video lead on to my computer to create dvds, but I don`t want to loose the crystal clear/sharp quality that is on the Hi-8 tapes. Does anyone know if the Dazzle products are up to the job (in particular the Platinum edition), or is there something better I could use?

A. Personally I don't think much of Dazzle, if you want to do the job properly then use Ulead videostudio 11, you can download a free 14day unrestricted trial from www.corel.co.uk & try it out. I've tried nearly all of the editing software over the last 20 years or so but in my opinion Ulead can't be beaten & it's a lot cheaper than most of the others.

I bought dazzle platinum off ebay, received no serial number with it. But i need it. Help.?
Q. I recently bought dazzle platinum of someone on ebay, and i am trying to install it but it requires a serial number that is either placed on the disk itself or on the disks sleeve. The disk did not come with a sleeve and the number is not on the disk. Am i stuck not being able to sue this or is ther a way around it?

A. email the person you bought it from, explaining the problem. Wait a few days for them to email back. If they don't email you back or give you a hard time, go to Paypal and file a claim. Paypal will get in touch with the seller and try to work something out. If there is no resolution, Paypal will refund your money.

A. The Dazzle devices require a PC connection to be able to record. There is no storage device on any of the Dazzle devices, therefore you cannot record without being plugged into a PC.

A. Dazzle Platinum doesn't work on Justin.tv because it has an embedded chip which makes it un-useable for streaming. You are better off getting the Red or White Dazzle DVD Recorder (DVC 100) because it is pretty much the same apart from being unable to capture in HD plus you can stream online...

A. I had the same problem.. my advice is find a mate who has an XP pc or laptop. The official dazzle site offers some patches to download but trust me they don't work. Sorry but really there is no fix for this , just find an XP computer you can use.

A. While you can get away with splitter for audio, it just doesn't work that way for video. Video is much tighter, and splitters reduce the signal by at least half or worse. Literally, it's like trying to run your computer or your videogame at half power from the wall, it just won't cooperate. If you're going to run a single video feed to several devices, the ONLY way to do it is use what's called a video distribution amp, or VDA for short. It's an electronic device that that creates multiple outputs of the same level as the input.
