Where can I get a Dazzle video Creator Platinum Capture Card?
Q. I love making movies about Halo 3 and other video games but I can only use pictures. I want to get a capture card and most people say the best is the dazzle platinum. But I don't really know where I can get one. Any ideas are welcome and thank you in advance. I'll add you Big Craig G but I dont know when im gonna get the card because it might not be till this summer when im off of school and start making some money to buy it I do have $200 right now and but I need to get a laptop so i don't have to use my computer upstairs or if it starts taking to long I'll just invite a friend over to help me

With the dazzle platinum do you have to unplug your hdmi?
Q. As the title says, i know with the normal dazzle you do, but is it any different with the platinum? If you do need to take it out, can you suggest a good capture card for recording xbox play and that doesnt need your hdmi to be unplugged. If you suggest one, also please make sure its good quality! How do i set videos recorded by Dazzle Platinum Capture Card into Windows Movie Maker?

A. In WMM, go to File / Import into Collections and select the video clips you want to use. But, if you've recorded the videos in MPEG-2 format you can't use WMM! Check your recording options or convert the video to WMV with Super.

I bought dazzle platinum off ebay, received no serial number with it. But i need it. Help.?
Q. I recently bought dazzle platinum of someone on ebay, and i am trying to install it but it requires a serial number that is either placed on the disk itself or on the disks sleeve. The disk did not come with a sleeve and the number is not on the disk. Am i stuck not being able to sue this or is ther a way around it?

A. Dazzle Platinum doesn't work on Justin.tv because it has an embedded chip which makes it un-useable for streaming. You are better off getting the Red or White Dazzle DVD Recorder (DVC 100) because it is pretty much the same apart from being unable to capture in HD plus you can stream online...

I want to find a way to use my dazzle Platinum usb 2.0 device on windows Movie maker. The driver doesnt?
Q. seam compatible. I dont want to use the supplied software, i think its bulky. Is there any other Video capture programs that can be configured to use my Dazzle 170 platinum driver. thanks

A. I have used the Dazzle Video Creator Platinum, which I think is what you're referring to. I've uploaded VHS tapes using the device. I've used the Pinnacle Studio 10 software that comes with it, but I've also used InterVideo WinDVD Creator. It was pre-installed on my computer. I also have Windows MovieMaker on computer, but was never able to get it to even start up, so I gave up on it. Your Dazzle 170 captures the video as Mpeg files and, unfortunately, MovieMaker doesn't work well with mpeg files. You could search the internet for info on how to convert the Mpeg files to AVI files, which would work with MM.

Q. I have my xbox 360 hooked up to my dazzle platinum and my preview is in colour but when i press record it goes black and white. Please can someone tell me how to fix it, thanks a lot.

A. Well I don't know what program you are running to record, but I would like that the reason why it goes black and white has something to do with the program your running to record or the video cords are not plugged in right. I suggest in the program your using in record the video go to file > options > video settings ( or something like that ) and see if that helps.

A. I had the same problem.. my advice is find a mate who has an XP pc or laptop. The official dazzle site offers some patches to download but trust me they don't work. Sorry but really there is no fix for this , just find an XP computer you can use.

dazzle platinum green line problem ?
Q. when i record with my dazzle platinum DVC 170 i get this green line at the bottom of my screan and is really bad quality this is when i record with windows movie maker and in the format begining with S (can't remember the name but it's not pal and it's not ntsc) when i record in NTSC it's black and white with no lines and fairly good quality and when i record in any pal it's black and white with the lines can any one help me im recording from my xbox 360 to my computer or laptop (when i record on both of them it does the same thing and i have already took the dazzle back once and it does the same thing) so anyone help me :)?
