What is the rated power for a Home Theatre AIWA TS-W35 powered subwoofer?
Q. I bought this subwoofer and it didn't come with a manual or anything that said anything about it besides that it is an AIWA TS-W35 powered subwoofer. I looked on the internet and nothing came up. I would just really like to know how much power it has to see if I will need to get a better one. Thanks

A. Most of the time you go by the model# if it is a ts-W35 it might only be 35 WATTS.

How do I connect my two speakers to a Aiwa stereo?
Q. On the back there are 4 holes to to put wires through. I have two sets of wires, one set with two wires for each speaker. I turn it on and there's no noise so it must be the speakers.
Asked by b_roy_1 - Mon Aug 25 23:04:50 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. To test the speakers, get a 1.5 volt battery (AA, C, D cell -- it doesn't matter) and connect the speaker wires to the ends of the battery (plus and minus). suggestion: hold one wire to the minus end with your thumb while connecting the plus end with your other hand. If you hear a loud Click, or clicking/static-y sound, that means the speaker works. If the speakers work, then the amp PA is probably dead. Without looking at the connectors on the back of the stereo, it's hard to tell if you hooked it up correctly, or not. .

How much RMS amplifier for 600w PMPO Aiwa speakers?
Q. I have two speakers from a 600 watt PMPO Aiwa music system. Buying a new amplifier for them, I see all specifications in RMS.
Asked by dhruv_rdx - Sat Sep 29 16:38:28 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Power transferred is not necessarily power dissipated. Audio is AC and dissipation (listening power) is DC, so a rule of thumb is that 71% of AC power is actual DC power, or RMS (Root Mean Square). Your Aiwa system was most likely rated at 600w rms, or 300w rms per channel. Each speaker is most likely rated for 300w rms. For speakers that is the maximum power into each one. So any new amp would need to be rated for 600w rms total, or less to avoid damage to your speakers. To be extra safe, hook one inline fuse for each speaker, not to exceed 7.5a fuse rating.

How do i hook up xbox 360, RF modulator, aiwa stereo, and an HDTV?
Q. i'm considering getting an hdtv but not sure how to hook it all up so the xbox 360 runs through the surround sound on my stereo. right now i have it hooked in the yellow plug in the rf mofulator and the red and white audios in the back of the stereo with a coax cable hooking it into my regular tv but i want an hdtv, is this possible?
Asked by Andy H - Wed Dec 6 02:16:12 2006 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Dump the RF modulator. You won't need it and it will severely degrade your picture quality. If you get the Premium bundle it will come with a component cable...if you get the core I believe you have to buy this seperately. Connect that cable(Red, green, blue along with a standard R/L stereo audio RCA cable) to your input on your HDTV. Take the R/L audio part of the cable and connect it into your stereo. Turn on the system and go into console settings and switch it to 720p or 1080p depending on if you are getting a 1080p HDTV(only available after update microsoft released)

Were can I get a Modern Aiwa cx-nds55u surround sound encoder?
Q. I have an old Aiwa cx-nds55u that I really like, made in 2001. I would like to find a modern version of this product. It has a cd player(3 disk) duel deck cassete. am/fm and an optic in and has a 5.1 surround encoder in it and all the speakers, totals about 170 watts of power. What is great about it, is that you can get high quality sound without the load volume. Does anyone know of a product that is on the market that is like this without a DVD player, and with more optics in?

A. Hi, I shop a lot and to save time and money I use cheapest prices search engine. Almost every merchant is there and over a million consumer written reviews. You will find many other ways that will help you with questions. You can shop online or you can go to a merchant and use the toll free phone number if you feel more comfortable shopping like that. There are merchant reviews, product reviews, compare by brand and a lot more. I hope I helped you and I wish you good luck. Cheapest Prices Search Engine

I want to build a woofer box por an Aiwa 8 inch woofer, should it stay sealed or should I go for ported?
Q. Aiwa woofer, from system NSX-S999, I want to build a tower-type enclosure, but not sure if I should stay with the sealed configuration.
Asked by David B - Tue Jan 30 21:46:54 2007 - - 2 Answers - 1 Comments
A. You need to research the Thiele Small parameters of the woofer before you make the decision to go away from the sealed design. The Thiele Small parameters will help you determine which type of enclosure is going to give you the best performance. With either type of enclosure, you'll want to know how much internal air space to provide the woofer. With the ported enclosure, you'll want to know what frequency the tuned port needs to be. This is dictated by the enclosure volume, the port diameter and port length. There are pros and cons to either design, but the woofer's parameters typically determine the type of enclosure you need to optimize the woofer's performance. My guess is you're going to want to stick with the sealed enclosure.… [cont.]

aiwa hifi-the turntable is really quiet but I have plugged it into the phono sockets?!?
Q. I just bought an old stack system (3 cd, tape, and lp), but the lp function is really quiet. I heard that this is usually because it's not amplified, but it is from the same system so surely it should be amplified automatically?

A. Check tape/cd/phono switch in proper setting and making good contact(contact cleaner spray) Check wires to cartridge are ok and stylus is seated into the cartridge all the way This model doesn't use a tape monitor switch does it? (have it off) good luck!
